Calling public spending a “heist”
The book’s title turns public spending into a robbery, and the promise “no one pays more” comes with €130 billion of savings. Our reading: the heist metaphor names culprits and suggests savings with no losers.
Put bluntly. The trap is “no one pays more”: 800,000 fewer posts means fewer counters, classes or services somewhere. The question is not how many, but which.
The question to check. Ask for the list of services affected by the unreplaced departures, and read the IGF/IGAS reports cited on AI before taking the figure.
